By default, PropKita will set your neighbourhood security guard and family members registered in the same house unit as your emergency contacts.

You can add up to 10 emergency contacts, and these contacts do not need to be PropKita users.
What happens when I press the Panic Button in PropKita?
When you press the Panic Button, a notification will be sent to the PropKita admin. The admin will contact you immediately to confirm the emergency. If it is a real emergency, the admin will then call the relevant emergency services to respond.
Can I amend my emergency contacts in PropKita?
No. All emergency contacts are managed by the PropKita admin, including your neighbourhood security guard and family members in the same house unit. Users cannot add or delete contacts themselves.
How will my emergency contacts be used in PropKita?
PropKita will not use your emergency contacts for any purpose other than to alert them if the Emergency Assist function is activated.
How many times can I activate the Emergency Assist function in PropKita?
The Emergency Assist activation limit is set and controlled by the PropKita admin / community management. Each community may have its own limit for all registered users. If you need to know your community’s activation limit, please contact the PropKita admin for clarification.
What is my community’s Emergency Assist (EA) limit and why does it exist?
The EA activation limit is set to prevent misuse of the Emergency Assist feature, ensuring that the security team can respond quickly to genuine emergencies. This helps maintain the overall safety of the community and avoids unnecessary alerts that may disrupt security operations.
What is considered misuse of the Emergency Assist in PropKita?
Misuse of the Emergency Assist may include:
Activating Emergency Assist too frequently compared to your community’s EA limit

What are examples of legitimate uses of Emergency Assist?
Emergency Assist should only be used for real emergency situations that require immediate attention, such as:
When a crime is occurring or about to occur
When a person is in immediate danger
When property is at risk, such as break-ins or serious damage
Any situation that requires an urgent response from the PropKita admin or security team.
What if I accidentally activate the Emergency Assist (EA) in PropKita?
If you accidentally activate EA, you should:
Cancel the alert within a few seconds if possible
Contact the PropKita admin to inform them it was a mistake
Ensure you close the loop by confirming your safety
Inform any relevant contacts (such as family members) that it was an accidental activation
This helps the admin and security team avoid unnecessary deployment while keeping everyone informed.
How does PropKita handle misuse of the Emergency Assist by other users?
PropKita reserves the right to report or refer any suspected misuse of the Emergency Assist by a user to the PropKita admin for further investigation. The admin also has the discretion to suspend the user’s access to the Emergency Assist feature if misuse is confirmed or under the admin’s directive.
How often can I activate the Emergency Assist?
Subject to the EA activation limit for your community, you can only activate the EA once every sixty minutes. This is to prevent unnecessary activations which may use up your community’s EA limit.
What if my mobile device is not able to access the PropKita?
If you are unable to get any wifi signal / data coverage, a pop-up screen with a preset SMS message will be shown when you activate the Emergency Assist.
How will I know that the community guard house has received my activation?
PropKita will display a message to indicate that the Emergency Assist has been successfully delivered to both the Guard Module (Guard House) and the PropKita system (Admin/Moderator dashboard) after activation.
How soon will the PropKita admin respond to my Emergency Assist activation?
The PropKita admin will respond within 3 to 5 minutes after your Emergency Assist is activated. The admin will contact you immediately to assess the situation and coordinate any necessary actions.
What if the security team claims they did not receive my Emergency Assist activation?
If the Emergency Assist has been successfully activated and delivered, all activations are logged in the PropKita system for verification. The admin can check these logs to confirm that the alert was sent.
How will my emergency contacts be reached once I activate the Emergency Assist in PropKita?
When Emergency Assist is activated, the PropKita admin will immediately call the user to confirm the situation. Only if it is a genuine emergency, the admin will then contact the on-site security guards to respond.
